"An individual exhibition was opened on Wednesday, May 20th 2015, in the gallery of the “Queen of Montenegro” hotel in Becici, by the academic painter Ivana Bukovac, who lives and creates in the Italian city of Padova. The artist presented herself with twelve paintings of large format from the cycle “Double-faced”, painted using the technique of oil on canvas.
The organizer of the exhibition was NIP ART-PRESS from Budva. Ranko Pavicevic, manager of the exhibition in the “Queen” gallery has presented the biography of Ivana Bukovac to the visitors, as well as the theme of her paintings. Ivana Bukovac has stated that she has been researching the traditional Balkan costumes for several years now. The exhibition is called “Double-faced“ and, as highlighted by the artist, raises a question if tradition represents something that determines or something that suffocates us."
